Our Weekend in Jackson

After the Dr told us it was ok for Ruthie to be around other children, we loaded up the truck and headed to Jackson on Friday. When I say loaded I mean LOADED. It requires so much to take a 5 month old somewhere. We had planned this trip for months and were so excited to finally make it down to see our friends. Casey has been a very dear friend of ours for 10+ years. He and Ashlyn have an adorable little boy, Cadyn who is 8 months old. We had a wonderful time just hanging out and eating. I feel like we ate all weekend long. It was great to get out of town and have a mini vacation. It was even better to spend it with such great friends.

Ruthie's First Sick Dr's Visit

Last Wednesday afternoon I noticed that Ruthie's forehead had red splotches on it. I took her temperature and it was 100.4, so I panicked and checked it 4 more times with the same result. ha ha! However, she had no other symptoms. I gave her Tylenol and it went away. We continued this routine until Thursday morning. I assumed it was maybe caused from teething because she was not fussy and still no other symptoms. I called the Dr and they told me that they would like for her to come in just in case because of all the stuff that is going around right now. So, me and her supporting army loaded up and went to the Dr. They did blood work and said she definitely had something viral, but everything looked good. Just to treat the temperature. As you might know, the temperature had broke by the time we made it to the Dr and has yet to return. So I can't really say she was sick, but none the less we had our first visit that required the co-pay. I took a pic of her with her orange band aid from the finger stick for blood work when we got home. I was amazed at her with that as well. She didn't even flinch, not one squeal or cry. She is much tougher than me. She just watched the nurse the entire time she was squeezing her finger like "why are you doing that"

Valentine's Day

Ruthie and I spent yesterday at my niece Kaylee's school beauty review. She looked beautiful as always. She got a beauty and we were all so excited for her!

We came home and Dustin cooked steaks and we had a wonderful dinner at home. Ruthie was showered with Valentine gifts from all of the family. It was a great day for everyone!

Ruthie's Christening

Ruthie had her christening yesterday. We were so blessed to have around 40 family members present and had a wonderful lunch afterwards. Ruthie did so great with it. She didn't even seem to notice.

Ruthie's New Trick

Ruthie has recently learned to make the "driving her car" noise with her mouth. She does it all the time now. I have posted a video of it. It is too funny how long she will sit and do this once she starts. Don't worry I only taped a little bit of it.
