Birthday Party in the Grove

Ruthie's birthday was the Sunday of the weekend that Ole Miss played Fresno State at home. We were not having her official party until a couple more weeks, so we had a mini party in the Grove!

Her very cute and very tasty cake from Sugaree's

Her Nana got her Colonel Reb cookies from Emileigh's

Loving on her new baby that JoJo and Papa gave her

Hanging out with the big kids

Blowing out her candles for the first of about 7 times!!!

She had such a fun time and we did too!! The Rebels even managed to pull out a win for us to make it even better!

Tumbling Class

Ruthie started Gym Tots or "flip class" as she calls it a few weeks ago. She LOVES it!!! Here are some pictures from her first day. Please excuse the quality, they are from my phone

Football Season is Here!!

Labor Day weekend we kicked off football season in Oxford!! I love this time of year!!! Ruthie is really into the Grove and game this year as well.

Playing frisbee with Kaylee and Hunter

Webb made his first appearance in the Grove!!

She absolutely LOVED the pep rally. She was mesmerized by it all.

The game was not worth discussing, but we had a wonderful time with family and friends!!

Beach Trip 2010

In late August we took a last minute trip with Dustin's parents to Destin. It was a perfect time to go. We had the run of the place.
Ruthie and Dustin about to head to the beach on the first day

Notice how she is sitting on the sheet and leaning over to get the sand? She hates anything on her hands. When we are outside she is constantly having me wipe them off. It actually took her a little while to make this stride toward the sand.

So as you can imagine, this absolutely shocked me! She warmed up quickly to playing in the sand

The kiddie pool was also a BIG hit. She loved it. She would just roll all over it

Applying a little lotion to Pop E's face before bed

We went to play putt putt golf one night. Ruthie spent the entire time chasing every one's ball as they hit it. Needless to say, we weren't able to keep score.

Building sand castles with Daddy

Her absolute favorite part of the trip was riding the train at the Track. She asked every night as we drove by it to go eat. We promised her that we would take her and we kept our promise. We had to ride it twice. She would have rode it many more times, but we cut her off. She is still talking about riding the train to this day!

Taking a boat ride in the kiddie pool!

We had a wonderful time! I wish we could have stayed longer. I am already looking forward to next summer's trip to the beach!!

BEWARE!!

I have majorly slacked in the blogging department over the last 6 weeks or so. I just want to put a warning out there that there may be post overload over the next few days. I am going to try really hard to sit down and get caught up!! Let's just hope Ruthie is on board with this plan.
